I think dance 45s all sound better if played at 33 1/3. Though, I guess that only probably only applies to songs that are not really bassy already with little treble.

All these Erasure 45s are really good if played on 33 1/3. They become lumbering, ponderous, and sad masterpieces. True testaments to pop genius.

Wouldn’t it be amazing if someone made a record filled with songs that sounded great played at either 45rpm or 33 1/3 rpm?

It would be even more amazing if each song sounded like a completely different song at each speed.

 

Yesterday. Goodwill on Livingston and Bond. They had a copy of Space Needle’s first album Voyager for 2 dollars. I would have picked that up if I didn’t already have a copy and I would have picked it up just to give it to someone, but..sfgsgs…

Today I got a ton of records from the courtyard of a building by Church Ave. Some real good ones too.

The other day while walking to the train I saw an empty bottle of Hennessy lying the gutter on Foster Ave. It was mildly hilarious.
